I’ve pushed this project off for 14 years, I need help with it.

I bought HippiesRecovery.com in 2006. I wanted to do something to help those that were addicted to alcohol and drugs, and had a desire to rid that addiction from their lives. The 14 year delay is because, I’m not really qualified. Since high-school, I had quit drinking and I never owned a drug addiction. Owned? Some habits are expensive.

Over the last month I’ve well exceeded my beer-a-year, during every Superbowl. This morning as I write this I’ve a got a slight headache. For a month, and for the first time since 1993, I’ve exceeded the beer-a-year. I’ve been drinking with a friend of mine, up in the Baltic (a land of heavy drinking). He’s not a full blown alcoholic either, however, he does drink more than he wants too. He’ll explain that as he insist that everyone should try to keep-up. I’ve tried, and it ain’t for me. I’ve felt a slight hangover twice. Does that qualify me? Hell no. Do I care? Hell no.

Again, this morning, I didn’t fall off the cliff and into a full blown hangover. No, I’m just standing on the edge of the cliff wondering if my head is going to hurt the rest of the day. My heart goes out to those that didn’t fare as well this morning. My heart and prayers goes out to those that don’t fare this well, most mornings due to alcohol and drug addiction. As for me I’m going back to my beer-a-year routine with hopes of helping others to do the same and if it’s necessary, avoid it altogether.

Am I qualified to help? Hell no. Will my goals with Hippies Recovery be a success? Hell no. Not without the help my beloved friends. For the first time in four years I’m going to reestablish Protection Guys – ProtectionGuys.com – this time I’m doing it globally. It’s my intentions to donate 5% of the profits to the efforts of Hippie’s Recovery®. Now, I need to find the answers to the following questions:
What actuality works?
What all can we do?
